Wake up call!

Okay, okay. So we got a harsh initiation to the "A" league. 1-3. Ehh, not too worried. Now it's GO TIME! We've got a few games under our belts, and we know what to expect. We've got to leave it all on the court......uh......sand.........whatever. Our new motto: Nothin' hits the ground. Dig or die.

I have been thinkin' a lot about our strategy, and I think I've got something. I think that we should put up a block on the best of their 2 hitters. Most of the time he will be on the left side of the court (our right). I say that we should have Heather put up a BIG block (got it, Boo?), Abbey takes away the short dink or roll shot, Chris covers the hard angle hit, and I'll cover the back line and roll shot over Heather. Then we let the weaker of their two hitters prove himself. If he turns out to burn us a few times, we'll have Chris block too. Whichever side gets the set, that person will block and the opposite side will shift back. This will take some serious shifting, but we've got da skillz.

8-0 BABY!!!

The word has gotten out very fast about this new up-and-coming force in Fair Play volleyball. This is a picture of the crowd at our last match. We started the night 4-0 and finished the night 8-0! We'll see how long "perfection" will last. We did have a scare in our last game. We were down 8-2 when a brilliant time-out was called. We regrouped and took the game 18-12. Chris was poundin' the ball all night, and Abbey was servin' it up to him on a silver platter (awwwww, how sweet). You better marry her, dude................oh yeah...................you are. Congrats!!! Heather was droppin' it in the corners all night as well. She was locked in. Oh yeah, if you plan on attending our next match, you may want to get there an hour and a half early or it will be standing room only. See ya there.

The Roster

The EmbroidMe Beach Volleyball Team has been formed, and the roster is bursting with talent.

Chris Cole - a veteran of Fair Play Volleyball and a heavy hitter. Keep an eye on this kid.
Abbey Whitcraft - a great add and an outstanding setter.......hands of gold.
Heather Zimmerman - the Tower of Power. If you don't put a block on her, she'll eat you up!
Kyle Zimmerman - a solid, scrappy player who lives to eat sand. His motto: Sacrifice the body.

These four made a good showing in their first outing, going 4-0. It looks like this is the team to beat.

Here's a shot of Heather givin' it her all. She even had time to cheese for the camera.
